“Sound of Freedom,” posted Beckham to X. “I don’t even [know] what to say. That’s heavy.”

Needless to say, he is one of the hundreds of thousands of viewers who have been left touched and emotionally impacted by this dramatic retelling of the true case of former agent Tim Ballard’s quest, which the film was inspired by.

The film is loosely adapted off of the real life, dangerous mission organized by Ballard during his time with the Department of Homeland Security.

Originally filmed and pitched to Fox in 2018 prior to the studio getting bought out by Disney, it was canned until it was picked up by the Christian-based company Angel Studios, also known for producing the hit series The Chosen by director Dallas Jenkins.

Featuring actor Jim Caviezel, better known as playing Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ in 2003, the little film that could became one of the biggest blockbuster hits of the summer, even surpassing Disney’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny during it’s opening weekend.
