Former candidate for governor of Arizona, Kari Lake, is out once again reminding the NFL that in America, we have one national anthem, and that actual patriots don’t stand for cheap imitations.

During last Thursday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions (their one fan Ryan Boman was very excited), Lake torched the NFL for once again playing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” known to many as the ‘Black National Anthem’, prior to the start of the game.

“I hear the NFL is trying to force this divisive nonsense down America’s throats. I won’t stand for it. Literally,” posted Lake on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

“America has only ONE National Anthem and that Anthem is color blind,” the former news anchor turned aspiring politician added while sharing a photo of her from February’s Super Bowl in which she sat stoically and defiantly during the performance.

Back in February when Lake caught heat from the liberal media for not participating in the NFL’s pro-BLM religious display, other prominent black conservatives stood beside Lake to condemn the song’s playing alongside with the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

“I agree with Kari Lake. We have one national anthem, and it’s the national anthem. I am as opposed to playing both anthems as I am to the term ‘African – America’ and to Black History Month,” Utah Congressman and former NFL player Burgess Owens had said in support.

Even well known liberal comedian Bill Mahr was on the same side as Lake. Mahr had quoted our country’s potentially first gay former president, Barack Obama, during his show discussing the Black National Anthem, saying “There is not a Black America, and a white America, and Latino America, an Asian American, there’s a United States of America.”

The NFL has played dual anthems since the George Floyd riots in 2020. Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed the league’s support for Black Lives Matter. In Goodell’s defense, this was probably done so they wouldn’t burn down any of their stadiums.
