For Brooklyn Nets star Mikal Bridges, having a well-balanced diet is clearly not a priority. That’s because the fifth-year player revealed in a recent interview that he has eaten food from Chipotle restaurants for the past 10 years.

Mikal Bridges Is A Chipotle-aholic

As unfathomable as that may be, Bridges was dead serious about the Mexican chain’s food when he took part in GQ Magazine’s ’10 Things I Can’t Live Without’ series. In it, he explained his obsession with Chipotle.

“I eat this every day and it’s been about, since 2013-14, so about 10 years,” Mikal Bridges explained. “Still been on it heavy to this day. I have friends and family that [kid] me a little bit. It’s too fire to not have every single time, so it don’t disappoint.”

The 27-year-old also stated that he gets the same order every single time he visits Chiptole: white rice, no beans, double chicken, medium and mild salsa, corn, and lettuce.

Feasting On Success

While that kind of diet might set some folks’ stomachs on fire, it doesn’t seem to be affecting the career of Mikal Bridges. After a successful stint with the Phoenix, he was traded by the Suns to Brooklyn in February.

Through 27 games with the Nets so far, he’s averaging 26.1 points per game and 4.5 rebounds an outing. Known as a solid two-way player, he was also named named to the NBA All-Defensive Team in 2022.

So Chiptole or not? Mikal Bridges is already off to a hot start in his tenure with Brooklyn.
