I know that the internet is full of trolls and mean people accusing everyone they don’t like in the public eye of being a “groomer”, but according to The Daily Mail, soccer star Sadio Mane isn’t helping himself not appear like one.
The former Liverpool and Bayern Munich player has raised some serious eyebrows after announcing he has been wedded to the love of his life. Now that is all fine and dandy, but the problem here is that Mane is 31 years of age.
His new wife is 18 years old.
The Daily Mail reports “Ex-Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has married his ’18-year-old long term girlfriend’ Aisha Tamba in a private ceremony in his home country of Senegal.
“The wedding is believed to have taken place on January 7th in Keur Massar, an area in the capital city of Dakar, just six days before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations on January 13.”
Things get strange when you begin to learn how long the two have known each other.
Spoiler alert: A LONG TIME
He’s known her for so long that he was the one covering her private school bills.

“Reports claim Aisha ‘was long intended for the 31-year-old footballer since her teenage years’ though it is not known exactly how long they have been dating. The legal age of consent in Senegal is 16 years of age,” the report adds. “It was also reported that the former Liverpool star had taken care of her bills when she was in school.”
This is still a developing story, so we all better hope there is some language barrier or something that can make this whole thing look like a funny misunderstanding we’ll all laugh at in the future. For now, Mane has some explaining to do.
