Hailie Deegan is set to make her full-time debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024 with AM Racing in the No. 15 car. But first, she had a date at the Tulsa Shootout where she competed in several classes and showcased her talent on the dirt track. Deegan showed off her ride – an Odyssey Battery No. 38 non-winged sprint car – in a post on Instagram late last week.

Hailie’s racing career has been marked by several achievements. She became the first female driver to win races in the West Series in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

The Tulsa Shootout is viewed by drivers as a good tuneup event after a long off-season break. According to Deegan, however, there’s no such thing as a break.

“Off-seasons in racing don’t exist,” she wrote in a social media post for fans. “Having some fun here in Tulsa with this @odysseybattery car!”

It turns out, Hailie Deegan did have a bit of fun, turning in a fairly successful run in the 2023 Tulsa Shootout.

In the Winged Outlaw class, Deegan finished 5th in the D-Main, while in the Stock Non-Wing class, she placed 10th in the A-Main.

These solid results suggest she can adapt to different racing classes and perform well in a highly competitive environment.

Just last month Hailie Deegan took home her third consecutive Most Popular Driver award in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. She became the first woman to win that award for the truck series, and the second woman to capture one all-time.

Danica Patrick won in the Xfinity Series in 2012.

Deegan is set to make her full-time debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Cup Series when the season opens up on February 17 at Daytona International Speedway.

“Through the support of Ford and the AM Racing team, I feel that we will achieve great things together,” she said in announcing her intentions. “I can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for all of us.”
