The legendary Mike Tyson just sent a brutal message to the YouTube star Jake Paul ahead of the boxing match that is set to take place this summer. The brief message made it clear that Tyson, 57, isn’t the slightest bit afraid of going toe-to-toe with Paul.

Tyson Issues Intimidating Message To Paul

“Iron Mike” took to social media on Friday to post a 14-second montage of training clips of himself. He ends the video by asking Paul, “You still wanna f*** with me?”

Tyson stated in the video that this was his third day of training. Paul fired back by commenting, “Yes, yes I do”

Tyson And Paul Bout Announced

Earlier this month, it was announced that Tyson and Paul will be boxing each other on July 20 on Netflix at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which is the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons,” Paul told Fox News in a statement released by Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

“My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion ever, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time,” he continued. “This will be the fight of a lifetime.”

This will be Paul’s second bout of 2024. But it will be Tyson’s first since his exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

“He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT,” Tyson said in a statement of his own. “It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”

Experts Warn Tyson Of Risks

Despite Tyson’s apparent confidence, experts have warned that he is risking rupturing veins in his brain during this fight. Stephen A. Hughes is a senior lecturer in medicine at Anglia Ruskin University. He warned that Tyson could be at risk of a subdural haematoma; a tearing of veins in the brain, in a piece for the Conversation.

“The immediate effects may be minimal; the boxer may simply recover. But on some occasions, the effects may be devastating: a subdural haematoma can occur,” Hughes explained, adding that Tyson could be at risk of further issues due to “accelerated” brain shrinkage due to age, which could make ruptures even more of a risk.

This can be made worse by alcohol abuse, and Tyson has admitted in the past to being a “vicious alcoholic,” according to The Express. Watch Tyson talk more about that in the video below.

Only time will tell who comes out victorious in this bout. Be sure to check out the fight in July to see if the winner will be Tyson or Paul!
