WWE star Chelsea Green was in New York City earlier this week to attend Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Apparently, Green’s performance also created some drama. And it was due to no fault of her own.

Green took to social media on Wedneday to claim that she was booted from The Plaza Hotel in downtown because workers thought she was an escort. We’re not kidding.

“Green told us she and her friend made their way to The Plaza’s Champagne Bar around 5:45 PM on Tuesday to grab a drink before going to a Broadway show … but were told they would have to leave since they were not hotel guests.”

The former Woman’s Tag-Team champion posted some more on social media as this story went viral. A GIF she posted of Julia Roberts on “Pretty Woman” was darn hilarious.

TMZ Sports called up Champagne Bar in question to ask whether it was open to the public. It is. That makes this an entire scandal for the hotel and employees.

Green notes that a customer at the bar invited the wrestler and her friend back in. The two were then stopped by security screaming something along the lines of “Get back here. We aren’t playing games. We know what you’re doing here.”

It’s certainly a bad look for The Plaza Hotel.
