Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parson was visibly frustrated with his team’s first-round pick in last night’s NFL Draft.
Parsons, appearing on a live stream hosted by Bleacher Report, couldn’t hide the look of disgust on his face as it was announced that the Cowboys had selected Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton.
As the over-giggly host points out, Guyton was “not one of the players listed by our own Micah Parsons.”
The host then prods Parsons repeatedly by presenting Guyton as a poor selection and laughing all the while.
The Cowboys star can be seen shaking his head as one panelist points out “he’s in disgust.”

Dallas Cowboys Draft Pick
Tyler Guyton, the Dallas Cowboys’ first-round draft pick, will be a work in progress, no doubt. That is often the case of lower round selections, as Guyton went number 29 after the Cowboys traded down.
But a quality soon-to-be teammate wouldn’t be so openly disgusted about their new co-worker. They would accentuate the positives.
Steelers Now lists Guyton as a “freak athlete” as they hoped Pittsburgh might be able to land him in the first round – at pick number 20.
USA Today describes him as a “322-pound pass rusher (who) has all the tools to become a top-notch pass protector”, albeit one who needs more experience.
The Oklahoman reported prior to the draft that every major outlet had Guyton going sooner than number 29, most of them believing the Cowboys wanted him when they originally had the number 24 pick.
Instead, they moved down and still nabbed him. And they did so while essentially, as part of the trade with Detroit, swapping a seventh-round pick and receiving a third-rounder (No. 73).
“Love this selection for Dallas,” writes Sportsnaut as they gave Dallas a grade of A.
“Trading down, acquiring an additional third-round pick and finding value at a need position. Guyton was projected to go higher and could potentially slot in as a starting right tackle out of the gate.”
And now, Dallas heads to day two of the NFL Draft with three overall selections.

Praises The Eagles Pick
Making matters worse, Micah Parsons was also “utterly disgusted” over the Philadelphia Eagles’ selection of Quinyon Mitchell, a cornerback out of Toledo with the 22nd pick in the NFL Draft.
The disgust, however, was for a completely different reason. Mitchell, according to Parsons, “was definitely one of my more favorite players in this draft.”
Honestly, he couldn’t stop gushing over who Philadelphia got. Praise for his NFC East rivals’ draft pick, disdain for his own team’s. Not a good look, Micah!

To be fair, Mitchell is a solid, solid pick for the Eagles. But Guyton is pretty good too for the Cowboys. And Parsons only has to play alongside one of these guys.
Perhaps instead of offering draft analysis, Parsons should focus on studying game film from last season’s Wild Card game against the Packers. You know, the one in which Green Bay ran all over Parsons and his teammates en route to a stunning upset?
Micah had just two tackles in that game, completely neutralized by the men who lined up across from him. They gave up over 400 total yards and 48 points. And the game was essentially over at half time, so Green Bay needed to do little more than chew up the clock and not pad stats.
Parsons, while clearly one of the best defensive players in the game, has been rumored to be grating officials in the Dallas Cowboys organization.
His reaction to the team’s draft pick isn’t going to remedy that situation any time soon.
