It was back in April of 2022 that the NFL world was dealt some tragic news. Dwayne Haskins of the Pittsburgh Steelers died at the young age of 24.

Haskins’ death came after he was struck by a truck on a South Florida highway. It was absolutely stunning. It was tragic. A young life over for seemingly no reason.

Fast forward more than two years, and there is now some major drama between Haskins’ family and his widow. His family is suing Kalabrya Haskins over alleged “constant harassment.”

“Ever since the tragic death of their son and brother, the Haskins Family has experienced constant harassment from the Defendant whenever they have attempted to reference his name, image and likeness in public forums such as social media,” the lawyer for Haskins family, Jason Morrin wrote on X.

Morrin claims that Haskins widow “contacted Instagram to have the accounts of his parents “disabled as recently as May 2024.”

According to OutKick, Haskins’ parents claims that Kalabrya tried to take a painting of the quarterback that belonged to them during his memorial while refusing to share his ashes with them. The report also claims that she has refused to provide an accounting of Haskins’ assets.

His estate and the driver that killed Haskins had previously come to a partial settlement in court.

At the time of his death, Haskins reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .20% while boasting traces of ketamine and norketamine. Though, his lawyers claim that he was drugged as part of a robbery conspiracy.

Haskins starred for Ohio State from 2017-18 before the then-Washington Redskins made him a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played just two seasons in Washington, throwing 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Sadly, Haskins died before playing a single snap in Pittsburgh.
