They sure do teach silver and black fans to temper their expectations early these days. One young fan has gone viral for his absolutely brutal assessment of the Las Vegas Raiders’ upcoming season.
To put it bluntly, he has no expectations whatsoever. None. And it’s adorable.
A reporter for the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas was excited to speak with the young man, even praising his likely knowledge based on the Raiders gear he was sporting.
“You’re so into the NFL,” he said. “You know your Raiders. I can tell right here. How are you feeling with the team this year?”
The young man isn’t feeling it, apparently.
“We’re not going to the Super Bowl,” he replied. “I already know it. I already know it.”
And that wasn’t even the best part about the interview.
Raiders Fan Just Has One Hope For His Team This Year
With the Raiders fan already admitting his team wasn’t anywhere near Super Bowl-worthy, the reporter then asked him his keys to a successful season for the club.
And he answered that question in the most Raiders way possible.
“We got a realistic Raiders fan here. This is odd. This is the first interview I’ve ever had like this. The Super Bowl chances are not good,” the reporter said. “But what is it going to take for the Raiders to have a successful season, do you think?”
The young man didn’t mention a solid run game, quarterback play, or speed on the corners. No, this Raiders fan’s expectations are much, much lower.
“Not to get arrested,” he fired back.
Can the Raiders meet this kid's expectations this year?

Lowered Expectations
I mean, it wasn’t that bad last year that Raiders fan needs to lower expectations to the point where they just hope their players stay out of jail.
Las Vegas finished with an 8-9 record last year, largely due to a strong finish under interim head coach Antonio Pierce.
They won three of their last four games, including on the road against eventual Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs.
So you’d think that expectations are a little higher than ‘let’s just hope nobody ends up in the pokey.’
Heading into this season, the Raiders are aiming to leverage their defensive momentum and the addition of key players like defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, who had 9 sacks with Miami last year, and rookie tight end Brock Bowers, their first-round pick.
An above .500 record and a run at the playoffs does seem to be within reach.
