Drew Allar decided to give Penn State one more season.
Allar was graded a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft but announced Monday he’s committed to the Nittany Lions for his senior season.
“This season has been the most fun I’ve ever had in my entire life playing football and I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished as a team,” Allar said in a social media post Monday. “I know there’s still more work to do which is why I look forward to making more memories with my teammates this year and beyond.”

Allar has a 21-5 record as Penn State’s starter, and his decision likely prompted the departure of backup Beau Pribula. Pribula said Sunday night he has entered the NCAA transfer portal and wouldn’t stick around for the playoffs.
The 6-5, 235-pound has Allar 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2024 and had 25 touchdowns with two interceptions in 2023.
The Nittany Lions are in the College Football Playoff for the first time and host No. 11 SMU in the first round on Saturday.
ESPN ranked Allar as a first-rounder in 2025 and CBS Sports pegged him a first- or second-round pick.
