Anyone who has ever existed in the hellscape that is X (previously Twitter) knows full well who Adrian Wojnarowski is.

The ESPN NBA insider is known for dropping “Woj Bombs” on a continual loop as news breaks around the Association.

It’s part of a broader rivalry between Wojnarowski and his former pupil, Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Once the NBA offseason gets going in full swing, this rivalry is taken to a whole new level. The two share bombs that absolutely floors NBA Twitter (or NBA X). It’s actually one of the most entertaining times to be on social media.

This came to fruition on Tuesday. One day before the NBA Draft officially kicks off the offseason, Woj bombs were the name of the game.

It started with the insider reporting that the Brooklyn Nets have traded star forward Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks for a package that includes five unprotected future first-round picks. Yes, you read that right. Five future first-round picks. A major blockbuster between two teams in the Mecca of the basketball world. Way to kick off the offseason.

Wojnarowski then reported that the Houston Rockets worked out another trade with Brooklyn involving draft picks. The clear intent behind this from Houston was obvious.

“The implications of the Rockets landing the Suns’ picks? Houston wants to trade for Kevin Durant and that becomes far easier if they can return the Suns’ picks that they gave up in the Durant deal to the Nets. Suns have said they’re keeping Durant for now, but that could change next season. But now, Houston has the picks to make the Suns whole again.”

Report from Adrian Wojnarowski

Yes, this Kevin Durant.

Also, this Kevin Durant.

Woj bombs. Blockbuster trades. Kevin Durant popping up. What else could we ask for during an otherwise slow time on the sports calendar?

Those catching Woj’s antics on social media were not lost that he was prepared to go full nuclear. He had these in the drafts and were about to send them out in rapid fire, like a real-life version of Call of Duty.
