The New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has dated some very famous women in the past. These women include the Hollywood stars Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley, and of course who can forget Danica Patrick?

Now, however, Rodgers is admitting that dating celebrities might have been a mistake on his part.

Rodgers Expresses Regrets

“I always find it interesting when people say, in reference to the off-the-field attention, ‘Well, this is what you signed up for,’” Rodgers, 41, said in his new Netflix docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma. “I say [expletive] that, I never signed up for that…I signed up for football because I love the game and I got great at it because I’m hyper-competitive and super-motivated. But there’s this whole other part that comes with it that’s a lot of great stuff and a lot of [expletive] weird stuff.”

“I didn’t do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated after that that were in the public eye,” Rodgers continued as images of Munn, Woodley, and NASCAR star Danica Patrick flashed on the screen.

“I definitely hated it at first – like, really despised it,” Rodgers said of fame. He added that he “enjoyed” his “private life.”

“I enjoyed being able to go places,” Rodgers admitted. “But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little bit more difficult.”

Woodley Speaks Out

Rodgers dated Munn, 44, from 2014 until 2017. He then dated Patrick, 42, from 2018 until 2020. At the end of that year, Rodgers began dating Woodley, 33. They became engaged in 2021, only to break up in 2022. Woodley opened up about this breakup earlier this month.

The image she painted of Rodgers is less than flattering.

“I haven’t shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry,” Woodley told Outside Magazine. “It was not right. But it was beautiful.”

Though Woodley didn’t mention Rodgers by name, she said that she “had a really awful, traumatic thing happen in early 2022,” which is the year they split.

“I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy. I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment,” she said. Woodley added that she was in a “toxic situation” at the time because “empathy kind of kept me in this loop of feeling everything for everyone.”

Rodgers’ Tough Season With The Jets

This comes at a difficult time for Rodgers, as the Jets are 4-10 this season. On Wednesday, Rodgers told reporters that he would be contemplating his football future after the season. He explained that he will decide “whether or not I want to play.”

“I’m going to take some time after the year, unless I get released right away,” Rodgers said. “But I’ll take some time, get away from it either way.”

Rodgers was shocked when the Green Bay Packers drafted Jordan Love as his heir apparent in 2020. He told ESPN that he wouldn’t be surprised if the Jets do the same thing.

“When they drafted Jordan, I felt like I was one bad stretch from being benched — and I won MVP a couple of years, so that’s the way the league is,” Rodgers said. “You have to prove you can play every single week and through stretches.

“So if [the Jets] asked me back and they drafted a guy, I’d mentor the hell out of him if I was playing and I’d try to play as well as I could to keep him on the bench,” he added.

Rodgers’ former girlfriends have yet to break their silence about his latest comments pertaining to them. We can only imagine how they feel about his regrets when it comes to dating them!
