On Christmas Day, Beyoncé performed during the halftime show as the Baltimore Ravens took on the Houston Texans. It was a big to-do – with halftime even being extended to make room for more of her performance.
Now, the astonishing amount that Netflix paid Beyoncé for this gig has been revealed.
Beyoncé’s Halftime Show
According to Daily Mail, Beyoncé was paid $20 million for her 13-minute performance. This means that she earned more than $1 million per minute for her time.
Beyoncé performed along with special guests Shaboozey, Post Malone, and her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyoncé reportedly signed a three-project, $60 million deal with Netflix back in 2019. That deal is now two thirds of the way done. The first project in this deal was a documentary that showed Beyoncé’s 2019 performance at Coachella, which earned her $20 million.
This halftime show was the second project included in that contract. It’s unclear at this time what the third one will be.

Jay-Z Accusations
This was Beyoncé’s first performance since her husband Jay-Z was accused of sexually assaulting a minor with the disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in New York City back in 2000.
Diddy was arrested in September and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, also denied the accusations. He is still behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits his trial, which is set to begin in May.
Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations that were made against him.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he said in a statement posted to X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”
“I mourn yet another loss of innocence,” he added. “Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.”

Beyoncé Working On New Music
While this has been a difficult time for Beyoncé, she is still continuing on with her career. Earlier this week, an insider said that Beyoncé is preparing to announce her next run of shows in a matter of weeks.
“It’s been a very tough few months for Beyoncé but she’s laser focused on making her upcoming tour a success,” the source said on Monday. “The next few weeks are crucial as she will announce a new album and a new tour. The announcement was supposed to happen a couple of weeks ago but it was pushed back.”
Judging by Beyoncé’s halftime show, it seems that she is far from done making music. Only time will tell how her upcoming projects go for her!
