We promise that we’re not making up stories relating to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. At this point, it’s fair to be skeptical given just how prominant of a figure he has been in the news.

Two consecutive Super Bowl titles. Dating world-wide pop icon Taylor Swift. His podcast. Others throwing shade at the power couple. It really is hard to keep up.

With that said, this new piece of information surrounding the three-time Super Bowl champion might be the best yet. Kelce just recently announced that he’ll be making his small-screen debut on a new FX drama with Ryan Murphy as the showrunner. Niecy Nash-Betts of Reno 911 fame will be among his co-stars. The show is titled Grotesquerie and is of the horror genre.

We’re not even coming close to making this up. Nash-Betts and Kelce just posted a video of the two on the set of the show.

“This is what happens when WINNERS link up‼️ @killatrav Welcome to Grostequer,” Nash-Betts wrote on Instagram.

Kelce was recently called on to host a remake of the legendary television game show Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?

It seems as if the future Hall of Fame tight end has a whole heck of a lot going on outside of the football world. But this takes the cake.

Ryan Murphy is a legendary Hollywood producer. He’s best known for being the showrunner on Glee and American Horror Story. He’s also been involved in projects as an executive producer on 9-1-1, American Crime Story and Monster.

The six-time Emmy Award winner has worked with talent such as Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Rob Lowe and Connie Britton.

As for the show itself, Nash-Betts is coming off a failed one-season run of The Rookie: Feds. It was a spin-off of The Rookie, starring Nathan Fillion and the amazing Melissa O’Neil. She’s best known for her hilarious role in Reno 911.

The show will also co-star Courtney B. Vance, most recently of Lovecraft Country.

Yeah, let’s get weird.

Where does Kelce fit in? That’s a great question. His only previous experience on the small screen was on Saturday Night Live.

But it’s becoming apparent that the star tight end is looking to make the most of his fame. Adding this to what will likely be a great post-football resume isn’t a bad idea.
