LSU gymnastics star Olivia Dunne has taken the world by storm in the years since she joined TikTok back in 2020, amassing over 13.2 million followers on the platform and on Instagram in that time. Now, a soccer star at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is being hailed as the next Dunne after making a splash on social media herself.
Meet The Possible Next Olivia Dunne
Soccer star Kate Faasse reportedly had her name go viral on social media after an X account that goes by the handle “Campus Cuties” shared some photos of Faasse’s Instagram page. Since being shared on July 10, this post has garnered nearly three million views!
It’s easy to see why she’s a “campus cutie.”
Faase is an incoming junior at UNC who plays as a midfielder or forward, for the Tar Heels. During the 2023 season, she played a total of 716 minutes. During that time, she scored twice and assisted three times in 23 games.
In her 2022 season playing as a freshman, Faase scored and assisted twice each in 17 games. In her high school soccer career, she scored 31 goals and assisted 12 times. Faase managed to do this despite missing her junior season due to injury.

Faasse’s History
Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Faasse comes from a family of athletes. Her mother ran track in college, and her grandfather was a professional baseball player. When she isn’t playing soccer, Faase enjoys painting in her free time.
Faasse is only one year younger than Dunne, who recently announced that she will be returning to LSU in the fall to compete for a fifth and final year on the Tigers’ gymnastics team.
If Faasse wants to follow in Dunne’s footsteps on social media, however, she has her work cut out for her. At the time of this writing, she still has just 11.3K followers on Instagram.
With the recent attention though, that number should climb quickly.

Dunne’s Success
This comes as Dunne continues to be massively successful. She was one of the early stars for NIL after breaking $1 million in deals by October 2021. This was just three months after the rules were changed to allow for such deals.
Dunne has had the highest NIL valuation among female collegiate athletes for years. At an estimated $3.9 million, her NIL valuation is currently the second highest of all collegiate athletes.
Last year, Dunne spoke out to offer some advice to other college athletes who are looking to capitalize on the NIL surge. Faasse might want to take notice of what she had to say!
“I would say first and foremost, find a really good agent,” Dunne told The Street in May of 2023. “That was the first thing I did. And just take your time. Don’t rush into anything. Don’t be in a rush to make a lot of money. Take your time because it’ll come.”
“NIL is such an unprecedented area,” she added. “At first, when it changed, nobody knew really what was going on. I didn’t. LSU didn’t, and other universities didn’t, and the brands didn’t know either. So, to just take your time and the money will be there.”
Faase may also want to take some pointers from Dunne’s social media game:
It remains to be seen if Faasse will be able to replicate some of Dunne’s social media success. It will certainly be interesting to see if Faasse is able to capitalize on the attention she’s received as of late!
