The Minnesota Vikings were supposed to have a restful week between games, but instead eyes are now on the team’s offensive lineman, Oli Udoh, who was arrested late Saturday night for allegedly following a woman into the restroom of a Miami nightclub, and then refusing to leave when the woman became uncomfortable.

According to Sports Illustrated who broke the news, “A security guard from the club told police that Udoh was talking to a women who was in line to use the women’s bathroom when he ‘attempted to make entry’ into the restroom.” After that, Udoh allegedly “refused to leave the bathroom, prompting security staff to force him out of the club.”

Udoh, 25, was then arrested and charged with “resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct” around 3am Sunday morning. However, the report also claims that Udoh attempted to resist arrest by refusing to walk as the police on scene were trying to take him into their squad vehicle.

The Minnesota Vikings did release a statement after news of Udoh’s arrest became public Sunday morning. The Vikings stated that they were “aware of last night’s arrest of Oli Udoh, and are gathering additional information at this time.”

Apart from the legal matters regarding the charges, Udoh could also face additional repercussions for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.
