A viral TikTok video shows Burton smacking a female fan as she was walking past him after the loss. The video was uploaded by a user named Emily Isaacs who has since privated her account.

“Jermain Burton smacking me in the head while walking past him after their loss Saturday,” Isaacs wrote in the caption.

What makes this worse for Burton is that this wasn’t the only accusation of assault that the athlete is facing. Another video by an entirely different Tennessee fan also shows Burton hitting him as well postgame.

“Jermaine Burton was so mad he had to hit me after the loss. I was told he smacked a girl in the head after too,” said the TikTok user who went by the username Jojosiwa_.

Burton transferred from Georgia to Alabama in January of this year. It was the first time Tennessee had defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in sixteen seasons. Fans were so excited, that they even ripped down a goalpost and threw it into a nearby river.

TMZ Sports reports that Alabama head coach spoke about the original video showing Burton smacking Isaacs saying, “We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday. We are currently working to gather more information.”

This isn’t the first time a football player has attacked fans this season. Virginia Tech tight end Connor Blumrick lowered his shoulder and slammed a fan in the chest knocking him to the ground after the team was defeated by Old Dominion University.

Blumrick issued an apology on Twitter, “I would like to sincerely apologize to ODU and Hokie Nation for my actions after last night’s game.”

He continued, “Following an emotional loss, in trying to get to the locker safely, there was an incident including contact between myself and a fan, that I regret. This is not an accurate reflection of my character and I am truly sorry to those I have let down including my coaches, teammates and fans.”
