You probably don’t think Kansas City Chief’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes playing at a golf tournament is worthy of a headline, but its because of what happened recently at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe that seems to have people not-so-happy with Mahomes.

While on the green during one of his shots, the child of a spectator near the Super Bowl winner asked Mahomes if he’d be willing to give him an autograph. Despite what would have taken not even five seconds to do for a young fan, Mahomes declined, telling the young boy “I can’t make everybody happy.”

If you’re at a red carpet event or just won the Super Bowl, it would be acceptable to not give every person there an autograph. However, the video which was posted to social media displays a quiet afternoon on the green, and nobody else lining up to make requests of him either.

“No, you can, you can just make on kid happy out of 100,” said the boy’s father to Mahomes.

“I’ll make 99 said.” From there Mahomes turned his back and attempted to ignore the boy and his father for the remainder of the video.

Not cool Patrick; We had to endure you saying repeatedly how you were “Going to Disneyland” each time a Disneyland commercial popped up on ESPN+ for like five months. The very least you could do was give a kid an autograph so his dad could sell it on Ebay and they could take the entire family to Disneyland. Do you know how much tickets cost in Joe Biden’s economy? But I digress…

Do you think Mahomes’ reasoning was appropriate or should he have just not been a jerk and given the kid a scribble? Let us know in the comments below and across social media.
