Sources informed Fox News on Sunday that Nassar is currently in stable condition, but only after drastic measures to save him by staff after the stabbing were taken since he was stabbed in the back, as well as his chest. As of now, the individual who stabbed Nassar has not been identified to the press.

Nassar is currently serving a 175 year sentence for sexually assaulting a number of female gymnasts he worked with while serving on the staff at Michigan State University and USA Gymnastics. In addition to that, he was also caught with possession of child pornography.

According to statements given to the court in 2019 by his victims, Nassar had been violating women for more than two decades, and despite concerns and accusations taken up to coaches and other staff members, nothing was done until Nassar had been arrested in 2016 by the FBI.

The 150 victims of Nassar, including Olympian Simone Biles, demanded $1 billion from the federal government following the trial, alleging that the FBI failed to stop Nassar when they were notified of his actions going back to 2015.

The Michigan Supreme Court recently rejected Larry Nassar’s final appeal, in which his attorneys argued that he was treated unfairly and deserved a new hearing due to the judge’s remarks. Despite expressing concerns about the judge’s conduct, the court noted that Judge Rosemarie Aquilina had adhered to the agreed-upon sentencing agreement between the lawyers involved.

The court decided not to allocate additional judicial resources to the case, stating that the issues raised were merely an academic exercise and that further proceedings would unnecessarily subject the victims to additional trauma.
