According to a report from the New York Post, ‘free speech’ advocate Joe Rogan is perfectly fine having conversations with just about anybody. Anybody who isn’t former president and current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, that is.

Speculation began to fly earlier in July when Rogan, who was commentating at a UFC fight, met and shook hands with Trump, who was a guest of UFC President Dana White. Well, the pleasantries seemed to be it, because Rogan has since gone on the record to state he has no interest in “helping” Trump by giving him space to speak on his massively popular podcast.

“The mere discussion of Donald Trump on a blockbuster podcast like Joe Rogan builds a remarkable audience,” said an unnamed adviser to the Trump campaign who spoke to a reporter from The Daily Beast. “Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last — it would be an incredible audience.”

Outkick columnist Bobby Burack also agrees it would be a monumental moment in media and entertainment should two of the biggest names in the country meet for a one-on-one interview.

“There are few platforms in any form of media where a candidate could sway as many voters, one way or the other,” said Burack. “He would also ask Trump questions other hosts have not and would not. Rogan is not a traditional broadcaster or a so-called journalist, hence the off-the-cuff, authentic nature of his conversations.”

Rogan has already hosted current Democrat candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and has continually praised the challenger.

Still, don’t read too much into it and default to “he must want Joe Biden!” Rogan has long been a critic of the current POTUS, and has made it clear time and time again that he feels Biden is unfit to serve in the White House any longer.
