“The stage is set for the 2023 PFL World Championship on Friday, November 24, live from The Anthem in Washington D.C., and includes the return of MMA superstar Kayla Harrison to the PFL SmartCage,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray.

Harrison is a standout in the world of combat sports and boasts an impressive resume. She is a two-time PFL Women’s Lightweight World Champion, clinching the title in both 2019 and 2021.

Harrison (15-1) encountered her first disappointing defeat at the hands of 2022 season champion Larissa Pacheco (17-6), but got her stride back after defeating Martina Jindrova back in June.

Before transitioning to MMA, Harrison was a judo prodigy, securing gold medals in two consecutive Olympics in 2012 and 2016. Since embarking on her MMA career, she remains undefeated. Out of her 15 victories, 12 were decisive stoppages, with 6 coming by way of knockout and another 6 by submission.
