In October, former NFL player Sergio Brown was charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing his 73-year-old mother, and now as of Wednesday, he has officially pleaded not guilty.
Brown entered the pleas before an Illinois judge, according to a a spokesperson for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The former football player is charged with murdering his mother in September and dumping her body in a creek behind her home.

Then, after the incident, according to authorities, Brown headed down to Mexico where ha partied at a club.
Seriously.
During his extradition back to the U.S., Brown scuffled with Mexican police claiming he was “kidnapped.”
Brown is expected to be back in court next month for another hearing in the case.
He’s currently being held without bail.
