Could somebody explain to me what is going on in Kansas City? Stories have surfaced that three devoted Kansas City Chiefs fans were found frozen to death outside the home of a friend following a game. While not trying to make light of an obvious tragedy for so many people involved, the reports have to leave you wondering, WTAF?

Three Kansas City Chiefs Fans Found Frozen To Death

Our hearts absolutely go out to the victims in this case – Ricky Johnson, 38, Clayton McGeeney, 36, and David Harrington, 37 – who, according to NBC News, had been friends since high school.

According to reports, the three friends had gathered at another pal’s home to watch the Kansas City Chiefs game on January 7, 2024. The bodies of the deceased were discovered two days later on January 9. The cause of death was determined to be hypothermia, as the men had apparently frozen to death in the frigid temperatures.

The first question that arises is: How?

If they were outside in the cold and feeling a bit chilly, perhaps locked out of the home, why not go to somebody else’s house? Google Maps satellite imagery of the home identified in the NBC report shows it is a densely populated area. Once the extremities start feeling the chill, it would have been pretty easy to go to a neighbor. There were options.

Perhaps all three of the men simultaneously passed out from drinking so much. That seems far-fetched.

Even more odd is the fact that they were not discovered for two days. Now, it’s one thing for family and friends to maybe initially assume the boys had too much to drink and crashed after the game, but it’s another to find out the owner of the rental didn’t notice three dead bodies in the yard because he had been sleeping for two days.

That’s right – two days!

“He was asleep. He was asleep on the couch. The last memory he has is of them leaving [out] the front door, he doesn’t know what happened, um, with them, until you know, when the police came Tuesday night to his house,” his lawyer told the New York Post.

Come on man, Rip Van Winkle called and said he finds it highly unlikely that somebody slept that long.

The Post is now reporting that a fifth Kansas City Chiefs fan was in attendance at the watch party and some of the lawyer’s claims aren’t syncing with his version of events.

The lawyer had claimed that his client escorted the four men out after the game and then napped for 48 hours. The fifth fan though says he left the others behind watching “Jeopardy!”

There were also some discrepancies with statements regarding text messages from loved ones asking what may have happened.

Look, I’m not saying these three men were victims of foul play, but the story coming out from the guy renting the house isn’t adding up. And we’re not the only ones who think so.

According to Unilad, multiple family members of the victims have said ‘nobody believes’ the story of what happened to their loved ones that night.

“Nobody believes this story. None of his friends, none of the families, none of us believe it… Everybody is furious,” said one of the victim’s mothers.

Another added, “Something is not right.”

That seems obvious.

Kansas City police have said the case is “100 percent not being investigated as a homicide” and that there were “no obvious signs of foul play.”
