Man, just when you think you’ve figured out how the wild world of the internet and social media apps operate, they throw you a curve ball. In the case of social media influencer and golf content creator Paige Spiranac, she’s found one platform that doesn’t seem to think her content is very family-friendly, so to speak.

Paige Spiranac, a 30-year-old golf influencer, has claimed she is being shadow-banned on TikTok due to content featuring ‘some little innocent cleavage’ according to a report from the New York Post.

Despite her substantial following of 1.5 million on the platform, her recent video received only 3,000 views in 12 hours, a significant drop compared to her usual view count which often crosses into the hundreds of thousands. She expressed her frustration on X, where the same video attracted over 76,000 views, in contrast to just over 1,000 on TikTok.

Spiranac’s earlier videos on TikTok regularly garnered above 100,000 views, indicating a noticeable decrease in engagement on her recent posts.

Take a look at the video below and determine for yourself whether you could think of how this differs from any other viral content you’d see on TikTok.

Paige Spiranac – As Big As Tiger?

According to the Daily Mail, “Paige’s popularity led to her very nearly winning the title of most-Googled golfer in 2023, losing only to Tiger Woods.

Not bad at all when you take into consideration that Tiger Woods is a global sensation who has been in professional golf since he was practically a child.

Then again, when you look at the millions of followers Spiranac has and the endless amounts of free press she receives each time she posts content online, it’s not that far of a stretch to imagine how she’s giving legitimate athletes a run for their money.

“According to the site’s 2023 data,” the article continues, “Woods led golf’s Google searches in 42 out of 50 states in the United States.

“Paige was the most-Googled player in four states, and second in 32.”

Love her, hate her, everyone has to admit she knows exactly what she’s doing.

Do you agree that the numbers discrepancy indicates she was shadow-banned for having content too hot to handle for TikTok? Let us know in the comments below and across social media.
