It used to be generally assumed in “the before times” that if you wanted some rip-roaring patriotic moments in sports, you were gonna get it during a big football game or on a typical afternoon at any NASCAR race during the season. Now, with the surge in popularity around the UFC since the 2020 lockdowns, their MMA cage and press conferences are where you’re gonna get the most patriotic banter and messaging it seems. Surprisingly though, it might not always be an American being so pro-America.

Over the weekend at UFC Vegas 85, Brazilian-born fighter Renato Moicano decided he was gonna take his victory and give us a piece of his mind for a moment. Moicano grabbed the mic tight and from there let it rip, telling the audience how much he loved the United States and that it was his dream to become a naturalized US citizen, maybe even eventually a cop too.

“I wanna tell you another thing, I love f***ing America, you know?” He belted into the mic as the audience cheered.

“I’m not an American… but in two years, I will be an American,” Moicano continued. “And after I am done with fighting, I will serve as a police officer. I want to be a SWAT team, and I want to kill the bad guys.”

A little hardcore and a little gruesome, but given the context of him just beating the absolute sh!t out of his opponent in front of a live audience, the “kill the bad guys” part isn’t so alarming. Oh, but don’t think it stopped there though, Moicano had more to say.

“Make no mistake, there is right, and there is f***ing wrong!” He yelled. “And people are forgetting about that, people are going crazy… I want people to respect the f***ing law; otherwise, this great country is gonna be a third-world country.”

Yes, sir, people are going f***ing crazy. Right on.

“Something is wrong in America, and I want mothers***ing to fix it right now,” he added.

Someone make this man a citizen ASAP.
