Though he never officially retired and has appeared on WWE television from time to time in recent years, Attitude Era legend Kane never officially retired from the ring.

Today, Glenn Jacobs is the mayor of Knox County Tennessee where he performs a different kind of wrestling in the world of politics.

Jacobs, a Republican, recently endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2024.

‘Never Say Never’

But even at 56-years-old, is there a chance we could see the Big Red Machine in the ring again?

Jacobs says probably not, but also “never say never.”

In a recent interview with Fightful’s David Gornowski, Jacobs seemed to say that Kane’s time wrestling might be done.

“I am probably not getting in the ring,” said Jacobs. “So, I watch it now and I’m amazed at how athletic everybody is.”

He continued, “I don’t think my body can take that kind of punishment anymore, you know?”

“We always say never say never,” he added. “So I leave the door open to many different things.”

Mayor Kane

Jacobs is a WWE Hall of Famer who was a top star during the same era when ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson were the top stars in the business in the late 1990s.

Kane was also The Undertaker’s brother in storyline, who as a tag team laid waste to the entire WWE roster as the Brothers of Destruction.

Jacobs was elected mayor of Knox County in 2018 and is currently serving his second term in that office.

The last time he wrestled was at the Rpyal Rumble in 2021 and he made a brief appearance as SummerSlam in 2022.

And while he claims his in-ring wrestling days are pretty much over, you really can’t say ‘never’ in the wild world of professional wrestling.
