Lyndell Mays, one of two suspects charged with murder in the Kansas City Super Bowl parade shooting, had a GoFundMe set up by his family to help him get through this “tragic time.”

The 23-year-old Mays was charged earlier this week with two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and second-degree murder.

22 people were injured in the shooting, including several children, and Lisa Lopez-Galvan, described by Fox News as โ€œa beloved radio disc jockey and diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan,” was killed.

Lyndell Mays Was ‘Just Being Stupid’

According to reports, bullets started flying at the Kansas City Super Bowl parade when Mays and the other suspect, 18-year-old Dominic Miller, got into an argument when a group of people wanted to know why one suspect was “looking at them.”

You heard that correctly. A woman lost her life and several children were traumatized for life because one of these thugs looked at the other the wrong way.

Mays told authorities the shooting unfolded because he was โ€œjust being stupidโ€, an understatement if ever there was one.

Also just being stupid – Lyndell Mays’ mother, who set up a GoFundMe for him.

The fundraiser was replete with sympathy images of Mays lying in a hospital bed recovering from nine bullet wounds. Wounds suffered because he started the damn shootout in the first place.

Mays’ mother said she set up the GoFundMe because her baby needed help getting through a โ€œtragic time.โ€

โ€œGetting shot multiple times at a time that was [meant] to bring so much joy to so many has [brought] pain and sadness to all that was attending,โ€ it reads.

Cue the world’s smallest violin.

The GoFundMe has since been deleted, raising just $100 for Lyndell Mays’ medical bills.
