LeBron James – the humble self-proclaimed King.
Social media users had a field day after a video clip was posted to X showing the Lakers forward suggesting he’s not comfortable accepting praise.
The comment surfaced after a reporter asked about retirement and if James had considered a farewell tour in his final season.
“That seems cool but I’ve never been great with accepting praise,” he claimed. “It’s a weird feeling for me.”

LeBron James Doesn’t Like Praise?
Where to even begin here? There are very few people on this planet who love praise being heaped upon them more than the guy who has been referring to himself as ‘King James’ since he was in high school.
He literally had an ESPN special in 2010 about his free agency tour and decision “to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat.”
But now, he’s not sure about a farewell tour because he has “never been great with accepting praise.”
Viewers who saw the clip noted the absurdity of it all, adding that the man literally has a tattoo on his back saying “Chosen 1.”

The always-humble LeBron James declared himself the greatest NBA player of all time last year, which is up for debate.
But he certainly felt okay heaping praise upon himself. It wasn’t weird at all when he said: “I feel like I’m the best basketball player that ever played the game.”
You’re not. Personally, I don’t even see him in the top 5. Definitely the best flopper that ever played the game, but better than Jordan, Kobe, Wilt, Magic, Shaq, Hakeem, or Larry? Nah, bro.
Maybe just shut up and dribble.
