Former NFL star Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen shocked the world back in October of 2022 when they divorced after thirteen years of marriage and two children together.

Now, Bündchen is opening up about what her life is like after this split, saying that she is “stronger” than she thought she was.

Bündchen Opens Up About Divorce

“My life is a little different,” said Bündchen, according to Fox News. “I have my kids sometimes, sometimes I don’t have my kids. There’s a different ritual when I’m with them and when I’m not.”

“I think it’s the one thing that we have in our lives that’s constant,” she continued. “The only time something is fixed is when you die.”

Bündchen, 43, went on to say that she is focused on positivity and gratitude these days.

“To live in a state of gratitude is like a protection in your life,” she explained. “We can look at things like, why is this happening to me? I believe we are here because we all have something to learn and to evolve and to grow.”

“When I look back, the biggest, most challenging experiences in my life were all happening for me,” she continued. “They showed me that I was stronger than I thought I was.”

Bündchen Becomes Emotional Discussing Divorce

Bündchen and Brady were married for thirteen years, and they share two children, Benjamin and Vivian. Earlier this month, Bündchen became emotional as she told ABC News host Robin Roberts that her divorce was “a transition that had to take place.”

“I don’t think you wish for that, you know. But I think sometimes in life things happen… I feel so blessed because, like, I wouldn’t change anything in my life. I had incredible experiences, I learned so much, I have my children, which are the biggest blessings in my life,” she stated.

She added, “I get to learn new things… I’m grateful for all of it. I’m grateful for every lesson.”

Moving On

Bündchen has reportedly found love again with the family’s jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, whom she’s allegedly been dating since last June.

“They’re taking it slow,” a source told People Magazine last month. “They started out as great friends first. She’s very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other.”

“They started out as friends,” a second insider added. “He was a huge comfort for Gisele while she went through her divorce. Their friendship turned romantic after the divorce.”

Brady ‘Didn’t Want’ Divorce

After the divorce was announced, sources claimed that Brady “didn’t want” the split to happen.

“This was not Tom’s idea. This was never Tom’s idea,” one insider told People, adding that the NFL star “wanted to do whatever he needed to do to fix things” because he “didn’t want the divorce and he didn’t want the marriage to end.”

The source went on to say that Brady was “willing to go to therapy, marriage counseling — whatever it took to make things work.”

Hopefully, Brady has come to terms with the divorce in the time since then, as it seems clear that Bündchen has moved on.

All that can be hoped for now is that Bündchen and Brady are able to co-parent together effectively for the sake of their children.
