Harrison Butker, the Kansas City Chiefs placekicker who played a major role in his team winning the Super Bowl last month, is calling on his teammate Travis Kelce to marry his singer girlfriend Taylor Swift “and start a family” with her.
Butker Talks Swift And Kelce
In a new interview, Butker opened up about meeting Swift before expressing his hopes for the couple’s future.
“I wouldn’t say I’m a ‘Swiftie’ but I got to meet her after our New Year’s game,” Butker said while appearing on EWTN News’ “In Depth.” “We had just clinched the AFC West – and I rarely go out ever. But it’s New Year’s, gotta get the champagne and enjoy the ball dropping and all of that stuff. I went to a party … Travis showed up and Taylor was there and I got to meet her and she was just so humble and so gracious.”
Butker went on to admit that he was “a little nervous” to meet Swift, who was shocked by how far he could kick the ball.
“She thinks that’s amazing that I can kick the ball so far through the uprights,” he continued with a laugh. “I was a little nervous to meet Taylor Swift… I mean, it’s Taylor Swift. So maybe I am a Swiftie, if I was nervous to meet her.”
“I hope they, as I said at Georgia Tech, I hope they get married and start a family,” Butker added. “I wouldn’t say I’m a Swiftie. She was just so humble and gracious.”
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Relationship
Swift and Kelce have been dating since September of last year, and they have been enjoying the off-season together in the weeks since the Super Bowl. Swift is currently taking a break from her Eras Tour, which is set to resume in May, so she’s focused on spending as much time with Kelce as possible.
“They’re focused on rest and recuperation and relaxing at home and having low-key and chill time together,” a source told US Weekly.
The insider went on to say that Swift and Kelce “intend on spending quality time together and with friends and family,” which includes “small, intimate gatherings” at home and private outings.
“They don’t want to spend too much time apart,” the source added.
Another insider claimed that Kelce has already become Swift’s latest muse.
“Taylor has already written songs about Travis,” this source said. “She’s written at least two songs. They have to do with their love story and falling in love with him.”
Swift And Kelce Are ‘Still Very Happy’
A third source told People Magazine that Swift and Kelce are “still very happy” as they enjoy the off-season.
“They are spending time in Los Angeles together,” the insider said. “They’re still very happy. They’re so cute together.”
Last week, Swift and Kelce were spotted at Gucci’s annual event after Oscar’s party which is known as “The Party.”
“He was protective of her and she was delightful and glowing — they seemed very happy together and loving the night,” the source said.
Many are rooting for Swift and Kelce to get married and have kids just as much as Butker is. Only time will tell if they will do it!
