Travis Kelce Stays Quiet About His Taylor Swift Relationship With His Chiefs Teammates

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and the singer Taylor Swift have been making headlines ever since they went public with their relationship back in September of last year. When it comes to talking about his relationship with his teammates, however, that’s reportedly something that Kelce has tried to stay away from.

Chiefs’ GM Discusses Swift And Kelce

Chiefs general manager Brett Veach indicated in a new interview that Swift is essentially treated just like any other girlfriend by the team.

“That’s the first question I get from all of my immediate friends and family, ‘So what’s Taylor like?’ I’m like, ‘I’ve never met her,’” Veach said, according to US Weekly. “I mean she comes to the games and she’s up there [in a suite], and typically families come down [to the locker room area] to see the players. Travis goes up to see her, so I’ve seen her in passing.”

“The only time that we realize it is when we’re looking at our phones during the TV timeout and CBS is zooming in on Taylor, you’re reminded that they’re together,” he continued. “But Travis is a straight pro and the guys treat him like that.”

Kelce Avoids Talking About Swift With Teammates

Veach went on to say that Kelce doesn’t talk to his teammates much about his relationship with Swift.

“[Kelce] doesn’t talk about it, players don’t talk about it. You’d think you’d hear the songs at practice and all the guys getting on him, this and that,” he added. “But there’s such a high amount of respect for each other in this locker room.”

“It’s been a wild ride,” Veach concluded. “And, you know, listen, maybe Travis will bring her around every now and then.”

Swift was regularly spotted at Kelce’s games throughout the last NFL season, most notably cheering on the Chiefs when they won the Super Bowl over the San Francisco 49ers last month.

Swift And Kelce Enjoying Downtime

Swift and Kelce are currently enjoying some downtime since she finished the latest leg of her Eras Tour in Singapore earlier this month.

“They’re focused on rest and recuperation and relaxing at home and having low-key and chill time together,” a source told US Weekly.

The insider went on to say that Swift and Kelce “intend on spending quality time together and with friends and family,” which includes “small, intimate gatherings” at home and private outings.

“They don’t want to spend too much time apart,” the source added.

Another insider claimed that Kelce has already become Swift’s latest muse. This should come as no surprise. Swift has long been known to write songs about her current and former boyfriends.

“Taylor has already written songs about Travis,” this source said. “She’s written at least two songs. They have to do with their love story and falling in love with him.”

A third source told People Magazine that Swift and Kelce are “still very happy” as they enjoy the off-season.

“They are spending time in Los Angeles together,” the insider said. “They’re still very happy. They’re so cute together.”

Despite all the hype that Swift and Kelce have been getting, it’s important to remember that they are still fairly early in their relationship. It will certainly be interesting so see if they are able to last, and if Swift will still be supporting the Chiefs during the next NFL season!
