Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark is mere weeks away from making her WNBA debut after they selected her No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Not only has Clark been the toast of Indianapolis, but she’s also pretty much one of the hottest tickets in the sports world (don’t tell that to a certain scribe). Clark set multiple records during his brilliant career at Iowa. In the process, she lifted up women’s basketball to new heights.

Continuing to make a presence in her adopted home city, Clark was on hand ahead of the Indiana Pacers NBA Playoff game against the Milwaukee Bucks Friday evening. Pacers fans are absolutely stoked with the series tied at one.

They got even more revved up and started to feel the Caitlin Clark fever ahead of the game.

Let us explain. Clark was called on to sit in what seemed to be an Indy car to pump up the home crowd inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Outside of what looked to be a grocery store version of a car that we used to ride as kids, this was an absolutely amazing scene in Indy. As you can tell, the fans were giving Clark a standing ovation and found themselves absolutely pumped that she was on hand.

Clark also addressed Pacers fans ahead of the game.

Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes lost to South Carolina in the women’s national championship this past season. It was an unfortunate end to her record-breaking career. However, that gam actually drew better TV ratings than the men’s national championship game. This just goes to show us how much of a widespread appeal Clark has.

The hope moving forward is that her popularity continues to lift up what has been a growing WNBA brand moving forward. What we do know is that Clark was seemingly the most-popular figure inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse ahead of a game that includes NBA All-Star Tyrese Haliburton suiting up for the Pacers.

As for the scene, we do have one question. Was Clark a tad awkward sitting in the car?

Debate amongst yourselves.
