Washington Huskies sophomore running back Tybo Rogers is facing multiple charges of rape stemming from alleged incidents that occurred in Seattle last year.

Per King 5 News, the Seattle Police Department said they arrested Rogers on Friday near Husky Stadium. He was booked into the King County Jail, and was charged with second-degree and third-degree rape.

“His bail was set for $150,000 for each rape case, according to court documents. He has since posted bail,” report on Tybo Rogers arrest. “UW said Tuesday that Rogers has been suspended from all team activities.”

Per reports, the first victim is a student at Seattle Central Community College. She alleges that she agreed to hang out with the running back at her apartment on Oct. 23 after ignoring his messages for months on a dating app.

She claims that Rogers raped her orally for 10 minutes before penetrating her from behind. He then allegedly threw her on to the ground and ejaculated on her before getting dressed and leaving.

“The victim said she immediately called her mother, who took her to Harborview Medical Center to complete a sexual assault kit. The victim said that on her way to the hospital, she discovered Rogers had blocked her on Instagram. Court documents indicate she reported the incident to police on Oct. 28,” report from On Montlake.

Some time between Halloween and Thanksgiving of last year, another woman came forward to accuse Rogers of rape. The situation was similar in that the alleged victim says that Rogers threw her on the bed and attempted to penetrate her. He allegedly put his hand over her mouth and penetrated her vaginally for 20 minutes before ejaculating on her and leaving immediately.

Rogers was released on bond this past Saturday and is scheduled to be arraigned on April 18. Bail is said to be set at $300,000.

Washington Huskies In Hot Water After Tybo Rogers Arrest

The running back did not travel with the team for the Pac-12 Championship Game on Dec. 1 in Las Vegas after being suspended. A probable cause document shows that a warrant revealed emails within Washington’s Athletic Department confirming Rogers should be removed from the travel squad for that championship game.

Despite this, Rogers played in their two College Football Playoff games in January.

Rogers put up 19 yards in the semifinal against Texas before tallying two yards on one attempt in Washington’s loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the championship game.

Former Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer has refused to comment on his potential knowledge of the allegations. He was just hired to replace Nick Saban as the Alabama Crimson Tide head coach.

As for the University of Washington, they did release a statement.

“The University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics Department is aware of the arrest of a football student-athlete,” according to a statement provided by a UW spokesperson. “The student-athlete has been suspended from all team activities until further notice. The UW will continue to cooperate with law enforcement.”
