Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen recently signed a lucrative six-year, $330 million contract extension, including a record $250 million guaranteed. The deal makes him one of the NFL’s highest-paid players.

During his first press conference after the deal, a reporter asked if he planned to upgrade his fiancée actress Hailee Steinfeld’s engagement ring with his newfound wealth.

A silly question by any measure. And while I’m sure the reporter intended no harm and was just trying to think of ways one could spend a lot of cash, Allen had to gracefully respond.

The NFL MVP was caught off guard, chuckled, and quipped, “A bigger ring, you said?”

“No, I think she likes the one she’s got.”

Josh Allen And Hailee Steinfeld

Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld were engaged in November 2024. The couple have kept their relationship relatively private, though Steinfeld joined Allen at the NFL Honors in February 2025.

Happiness isn’t about the money for Josh, either.

“I’m so grateful for what’s going on in my life and finding the person that I want to share it with,” he told reporters Wednesday. “When you have that piece figured out, it seems like everything else kind of comes a little bit easier.”

Allen also shrugged off not chasing an extra $5 million to top Dak Prescott’s annual salary, saying it wouldn’t change his already comfortable life.

Fresh off a 2024-2025 NFL MVP season with a combined 41 touchdowns and a career-low six interceptions, Allen’s focus remains on winning a Super Bowl for Buffalo.

What’s Next For Josh?

Fresh off an MVP season and a massive contract extension, Josh Allen is now gearing up to lead the Buffalo Bills through the 2025 season. Will they finally overcome the Kansas City Chiefs?

Will Allen lead them to secure a Super Bowl title for the franchise? History shows that the Super Bowl losing team rarely make it back to the big game the following year – with the notable exceptions of the 1990 Buffalo Bills, the 1991 Buffalo Bills, and the 1992 Buffalo Bills.

With his financial future set, romantic life on fire, and on-field legacy growing, Allen’s next steps will balance chasing championship glory and enjoying personal milestones as one of the league’s brightest stars.

Allen was drafted seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 from Wyoming, and quickly transformed from a raw, inconsistent quarterback into a perennial MVP candidate. He secured the award this past season, throwing 41 touchdowns and just six interceptions.

Over seven seasons, he’s led the Bills to six playoff appearances and shattered franchise records with his dual-threat style, amassing over 22,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards.

If there’s any ring he’d really like to upgrade, it’s probably a Super Bowl or even an AFC Championship ring over an AFC East title ring—if they make those.
