Jean-Pierre made the demonstrably false statement during a press conference on Tuesday. When she opened the room to questions, a reporter asked what President Joe Biden would say to parents who may fear for their daughters’ safety, if they have to compete against transgender athletes in sports.

“Look, what you’re alluding to is that transgender kids are dangerous. It sounds like that’s what you’re saying,” she responded. “That is a dangerous thing to say.”

Regardless of the White House spokesperson’s take, there have been genuine concerns raised nationwide by parents of amateur athletes in regard to the subject. In spite of any surgical or hormonal changes to the human body, the physiology still remains the same. And it’s common sense that male athletes have a major advantage in terms of pure physicality.

So competition is one part of the debate, but so are the personal beliefs of the parties involved. Notably, a Vermont girls’ basketball team chose to forfeit their state playoff game rather than face a team that had a trans player on its roster.

It’s one of several, similar protests from other schools, teams, players, and coaches in response to the rapid and sweeping changes being brought on by the Woke Movement in America. And part of the argument coming from that side is that the nature of competition will eventually lead to injuries. There’s a definite size and power difference that must be addressed if the athletes’ safety is truly a priority.

A 2022 story by Breitbart News reported that high schools in Cherokee County, North Carolina, canceled volleyball matches against one school after a transgender athlete (a boy living as a girl) injured another girl during a match. The injury reportedly occurred when a Highlands High volleyball player made a spike and smashed a Hiwassee Dam High player in the forehead, causing severe head injuries.

Also recall that male transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox literally broke apart a female fighter’s skull during a match.

Evidence pointing out this risk has become more and more prominent as the issue lingers. A 2022 study by the National Library of Medicine concluded that there is a distinct difference in average power and bone structure. And that while hormonal treatments were meant to suppress the amount of testosterone the body produces, their estrogen is still not near the same level as that of a female.

In fact, the study clearly stated that “hormone therapy alone has met limited success in suppressing testosterone levels, with many transgender women failing to achieve the desired level.”

Where this debate goes from here is anyone’s guess, but it’s doubtful the White House will do much more than give it lip service. They have remained somewhat apprehensive to test the waters of such a complicated and emotionally-charged topic.
