The new Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s “King of Violence” dropped his opinion on the state of the country before things went a little downhill

Sometimes, you get to a point in life where you can actually say whatever you want because you know that no one can (or wants to) stop you even if they completely disagree with what you’re saying. In the case of “Platinum” Mike Perry, the newest “King of Violence” as anointed after his recent BKFC victory, he definitely took that to the limit this weekend.

After defeating Eddie Alvarez at BKFC 56 on Saturday, reporters went into Perry’s room to get the new king’s thoughts on everything that had just happened, especially after calling out UFC stars Conor McGregor and Anthony Pettis to step up to potentially fight him. Where things went from there, you have to watch to believe it.

“Men gotta stand up, bro,” said Perry. “We have to man up. We gotta stop being liberals.”

Now, for many BIS readers, this is the part where we could all probably stand up and give the man a round of applause. Where things went afterwards can only be described as young Mike Tyson, or even Andrew Tate territory. Everything just gets kinda uncomfortable.

“We gotta start grabbing women by the p***y again. Point blank period, get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich bro.”

Now, we know he’s obviously alluding to the infamous “October Surprise” video of Donald Trump that was released during his 2016 campaign. The rest of it is obviously about what some would consider “traditional” gender roles. We’re not gonna dive into his intention, figure out a way to interpret it, or what have you. The delivery was weird, but it got way weirder.

“I got work to do. I’m here to feed the family, okay? I feed us. I feed our pockets and you feed our mouths and then we feed each other and I feed of you and that watery little playground you got down there.”

I am personally a “Platinum” Mike fan, but even watching this moment, I hoped he was severely concussed or something because how on earth is any reporter supposed to respond to something like that? Wild, just wild.

Perry definitely has his haters, including the people at LowKickMMA who said that Perry basically advocated for “assaulting women.” Interpret what he said as you will, but one thing even fans such as myself can admit is that he’s got a history of saying exactly what’s on his mind.

There was the time he thought he could say the “N-word” because he took a DNA test which said he was 2% African. It’d be hard to forget that time he decided to dish out some Mike Perry fury on some people at a restaurant in Texas back in 2020, where he was also heard by witnesses tossing out racial slurs.

Much like UFC champion Sean Strickland, also someone seen as a populist hero in the sports world, what we know from fighters especially is that they can look tough, act tough, and be tough while saying tough things, but still just be putting on a show to get people talking.

Should Perry be taken seriously or should we just chalk this up as him putting on a show for the cameras? Let us know in the comments below and across social media.
