That’s not a headline you read every day in the sports section, but it’s 2024 now, people. In the latest update in the Rodgers vs. Kimmel battle royale, the 4-time MVP denied the accusations that have been leveled at him over his comments.

I Didn’t Call Him A Pedo!
In fact, Rodgers doesn’t even seem comfortable saying the word “pedophile.”
But just to bring you up to speed: Rodgers initially went on the Pat McAfee Show, as he is wont to do, and made a joke about Kimmel being worried about being named in the recently released files of convicted human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Co-host A.J. Hawk off-handedly mentioned Epstein’s list, to which Rodgers replied seemingly out of the blue, “That’s supposed to be coming out soon. There’s a lot of people including Jimmy Kimmel that are really hoping that doesn’t come out.”
As you likely know, that set off the bomb.

Kimmel Loses It
In response to Rodgers’ comment, Kimmel threatened a lawsuit. He also whined on social media:
Then came the questions about McAfee and what he was allowing on his show.
And finally, we come to the latest: Rodgers’ says he never called Kimmel a pedophile.
Rodgers: I Didn’t Call Him The P-Word
Head’s up Aaron: I’m not sure “the p-word” is less graphic, ironically. Regardless, here’s what Rodgers said about his initial comments, which set off the whole firestorm.
What he was getting at, was ripping Kimmel for the latter’s previous attacks on him, primarily about COVID.
“I was referring to the fact that if there’s a list, and there are names on it, that it’d be the second time a soft-brained, junior college wacko … whatever other things have been said by him and other people in the media — would be right twice.”
“I totally understand how serious an allegation of pedophilia would be … I’m not stupid enough to accuse you of that with zero evidence.”
