PETA, once upon a time, was an organization that did good things on behalf of animals. PETA is no longer that organization. I know hardcore animal rights activists who are thoroughly embarrassed by the group.

With that in mind, PETA took to social media to offer their thoughts on the passing of the University of Georgia’s beloved mascot, Uga X. As is often the case, they probably should have sat this one out.

PETA Goes After The Georgia Bulldog Mascot

“We’re hoping his passing reminds @UniversityOfGA just how irresponsible it is for them to be promoting unhealthy, breathing-impaired, flat-faced breeds like English Bulldogs,” PETA wrote regarding the college football team’s mascot.

They added a graphic that states, “He struggled to breathe every day of his life.”

Commenting on Uga’s supposed struggle to breathe is rich coming from a group that regularly employs mouth-breathers. PETA should stand for ‘Please Educate These Assholes.’

But I regress, as Stephen A. Smith might say.

Full disclosure here: If it isn’t obvious, your author is not a fan of PETA. And they blocked me on X for this tweet which is simply hilarious.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand.

PETA, not content with being jackwagons on social media, also issued a statement saying the recently lost Uga X was “born to lose.”

“The ‘winningest mascot’ in UGA’s history was born to lose since, like all breathing-impaired breeds, he suffered from debilitating deformities such as an unnaturally shortened nose and airway that left him panting and gasping for air, particularly in the sweltering Southern heat,” they said.

Caution …

For their troubles, PETA was slapped with a fact-check on X that stated, contrary to what the group was peddling, the Georgia Bulldog mascot lived a decent life for that particular breed.

“As the mascot for an athletically and financially successful state university, UGA is both loved (and) well cared for,” the Community Note reads.

Aside from the fact-check, PETA got walloped by people who have kind of just gotten tired of their s***.

No need to pray, Everybody involved with PETA does have a bad day every day. Because they have to wake up to the realization that they work for PETA.
