Well, you can count at least one person who is a fan of Brittany Mahomes.
Jena Sims, wife of professional golfer Brooks Koepka, praised the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes after it was reported she will appear in the newest upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Brittany Mahomes was named a 2024 SI Swim rookie earlier this week while Sims was a rookie in 2023.

As Bounding Into Sports reporter Derek Ellerman notes, the announcement of Brittany Mahomes as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model is sure to rile up the haters.
Sims isn’t among that group.
“I could not be more excited for her,” said Sims in a video on SI Swimsuit’s Instagram Story. “I actually relate to her on a much smaller level. We’re both married to an athlete and she gets a lot of crap. She gets a lot of hate — unwarranted hate.”
That Mahomes perseveres despite the hate makes Sims respect her even more.
“She’s a very polarizing person, which that’s the type of model that SI Swimsuit hires to be a rookie. That’s the point. She’s a needle-mover,” Sims continued. She’s a mover and a shaker, she’s a disrupter and I respect it.”
Sims went on to suggest that she and Brittany are both victims of haters due to their being married to successful athletes.
“Something that I personally run into, people, the haters I guess, get very uncomfortable when a woman is married to someone else who is successful, has her own thing going,” said Sims.
“She deserves that on her own right and it has nothing to do with her husband,” Sims said adding, “sometimes when I accomplish something people will say it’s because of Brooks. I had a life before him and accomplishments before him.”
We understand both these ladies are very accomplished in their own right but have to imagine Brittany Mahomes’ appearance with the SI Swimsuit edition does have just a little bit to do with who her husband is.
They deserve the honor. Both women look fantastic. But this isn’t a situation like where Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce is riding the skirt of Taylor Swift, for God’s sake.
That said, Brittany Mahomes is a former professional soccer player and co-owner of the Kansas City Current, a professional women’s soccer team. She is also a fitness entrepreneur.
