Green Bay Packers All-Pro offensive tackle David Bakhtiari posted a story about government and taxes on X, leaving many followers shaking their collective heads in agreement.

Bakhtiari’s post focuses on the absurdity of paying taxes while the government forces you to do the math under penalty of imprisonment and/or fines.

“Time to pay your taxes,” he writes facetiously imitating an IRS agent. “But I’m not gonna tell you what you owe me. That’s your responsibility. Ooo btw, if you don’t give me enough, I’ll penalize you and potentially arrest you for tax evasion.”

The story he tells is incredibly based or, some might say, red-pilled.

David Bakhtiari Spitting Facts

Bakhtiari’s X bio, as a side note, is hilarious.

“I may not have the best looking number … but by God it is the Sexiest!!” it reads. Go ahead and look up his jersey number.

The Packers offensive tackle further explained his thoughts on how the IRS needs to simplify the tax process in several responses to his followers.

“The Government has what feels like infinite resources. They should make it simple,” he wrote. “You owe this much. Here’s the reason why. Simple.”

Former NFL center Ben Gottschalk chimed into the conversation by noting that taxes taken from the people are then used “to fund wars, bomb countries, and give handouts to illegal immigrants.”

David Bakhtiari nodded in the affirmative.

Following that theme, a couple of Bakhtiari’s followers pointed out how tax dollars end up being routed to the Pentagon and unlike the American people, nobody in the Defense Department has to keep track of the money.

“Pentagon hasn’t passed an audit the last six times,” wrote Gondor Capital Management CIO Vincent Au, “just saying.”

Indeed, the Pentagon failed its sixth consecutive audit this past November. In fact, they have never passed an audit. What would happen to you if you failed an audit?

Don’t worry though, Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks told comedian Jon Stewart, “The ability to pass an audit or, the fact that the DoD has not passed an audit is not suggestive of waste, fraud, and abuse.”

“Any penalties on the institutions for the wrongdoing? Anyone get fired?” David Bakhtiari asked regarding the failed audits.

“Just curious. Cause people are normally held responsible.”

Just you and me and the average American citizen. Not the top military or government brass.

The IRS is hiring an army of employees over the next two years to audit your personal finances, but somehow the Pentagon consistently misrepresents the money they’re throwing at foreign nations and nobody bats an eyelash.

Bakhtiari is rumored to be a potential cap casualty for the Packers heading into the 2024 season.
