Sometimes social media is bad. And sometimes social media is great. And then you have stories like this involving Aroldis Chapman where it’s both.

First off, we start with a video posted by Chapman to his Instagram account. For reasons known only to the Pittsburgh Pirates relief pitcher, it is a video of him groping a much older woman.

We’ll go ahead and let the Daily Mail give us the play-by-play on the clip, which has since been taken down but exists everywhere on X.

“As he snuggles up to her, he squeezed each of her breasts before she bats his hands away but before he stops groping, he kisses her right breast,” the Mail says of Chapman.

Fortunately for our eyes, the woman is fully clothed. Unfortunately for our eyes, while the woman has not been identified, several online commenters believe it may be his mother.

We’re not going to post the video here (X appears to have begun policing it), but the New York Post image montage is enough for you to get the picture.

Aroldis Chapman Gets Wrecked On The Socials

Now, we’re operating under the assumption that you’ve just washed your eyes out with bleach. Once they’ve cleared up a bit, take a look at the response from users on X.

Some of which was epically hilarious.

We’ll start with this oldie but a goodie:

“Ewwww, brother!” indeed.

“Aroldis Chapman honking his mother is absolutely not what I ever expected to wake up to see this morning,” one person replied. “What the hell are you doing @AChapman_105?”

It’s a valid question. We’re not sure there is a valid answer.

If you’re not laughing, you’re crying, amirite?

Judging by other online images, the woman does appear to be Aroldis Chapman’s mother. Which makes things infinitely worse.

Like, so much worse.

Maybe Aroldis is starting the first-ever family OnlyFans page. It’s tough to say. Either way his name has been trending all over X.

Chapman has faced several issues throughout his MLB career.

In 2015, he was investigated for domestic violence after allegedly choking his girlfriend and firing eight shots in his garage. Although no charges were filed, he was suspended for 30 games under MLB’s new domestic violence policy.

Earlier this year Chapman and the Pirates agreed on a one-year, $10.5 million contract. He was an integral part of the Texas Rangers bullpen as they won their first World Series this past season.
