We reported back in March that three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs was prepared to make a part-time transition to the entertainment world.

Said report indicated that Kelce was in line to host a reboot of the legendary “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” show on Amazon Prime.

“The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is in discussions to host a celebrity-focused reboot of the long-running game show “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” that would stream via Amazon Prime Video, according to two people familiar with the matter,” Travis Kelce report. “The deal, if signed, would represent the football great’s latest move toward general entertainment after appearances on “Saturday Night Live,” the reality series “Catching Kelce” and a podcast he hosts with his brother, Jason.”

We now have more information on this. Taylor Swift’s lesser half confirmed that he will indeed host a reboot of the show. It will be called “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?”

“I grew up loving game shows,” Kelce said on Tuesday, via TMZ Sports. “And I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with ‘Are you Smarter than a Celebrity?'”

Prime Video notes that the premise of the show will be to have a contestant use celebrities to help answer elementary-level questions. The prize is said to be $100,000.

Prime officials said that they have already ordered 20 episodes. It’s not yet known when the show will be available for streaming.

“Travis has proven to be an incredible talent on and off the field,” Amazon MGM Studios exec Lauren Anderson told TMZ Sports. “And we appreciate the trust he has placed in us with his first foray into television.”

The original “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader” premiered back in 2007 with legendary comedian Jeff Foxworthy hosting it on Fox until 2009. After a mere two-year run, it was again revived by Fox. In 2019, Nickelodeon picked up another reboot with John Cena hosting it.

Kelce made waves last year when he started dating the aforementioned Taylor Swift. His celebrity has taken on a new meaning since. The tight end is now looking to utilize that popularity for a transition into the entertainment world. All the while, the future Hall of Famer is set to return for a 12th season with the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll be looking to three-peat as Super Bowl champions.
