NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at Washington Wizards
Reggie Hildred-USA TODAY Sports

NBA players and hecklers have not mixed very well this season. But an Indiana Pacers fan went viral for delivering some of the most polite, non-malicious jabs against the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night.

The fan could be heard repeatedly jabbing Bucks players throughout the game. The insults – if you can call them that – typically came flying out when Milwaukee’s players went to the free-throw line.

His voice could be heard over and over again throughout the TNT broadcast. And they were some hilarious ribs. Though we’re sure the Bucks weren’t amused after being blown out 120-98, and eliminated from the playoffs.

Here are some of the Pacers fan’s best (worst?) heckles:

Bobby Portis

Portis was probably the recipient of the harshest insult from the Indiana Pacers fan. He got hit with a quip about the proportionality of his facial features.

“Your eyes are slightly too big for your head!”

Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard got hit with a couple of selections during the broadcast. He was the only player to fight through the horrific jabs and went 10-10 from the stripe.

And by ‘horrific jabs’ we mean these:

  • “Lillard, your mom’s watching!”
  • “Lillard, your tattoos are only decent!”

Danilo Gallinari

Gallinari fell victim to the classic hair insult. On a serious note though, Gallinari has shaved his head in the past to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which raises money for pediatric cancer.

“Gallinari, you need a haircut!”

Khris Middleton

Bucks forward Khris Middleton was the recipient of the most vile of insults from the very loud Indiana Pacers fan. Imagine playing a critical playoff game and having to hear this tragic heckle.

“Middleton, I respect your game but I hope you miss!”

*shudders*

It’s highly unlikely that the Indiana Pacers fan had any effect on the outcome of the game. A few shouts from the stands aren’t the reason the Bucks lost by 22 points.

Still, Milwaukee shot just 65.6% from the charity stripe. They averaged 77.4% for the season.

And we’re sure this guy felt it was in no small part due to his heckling. Let’s hope this Indiana Pacers fan has tickets to their next playoff game.

Their next home game will be May 10th against the New York Knicks.
