Peloton has declared that they will no longer play music by Kanye West during their spin classes due to the rapper and mogul’s recent remarks that many are claiming are anti-Semitic.
“We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton indefinitely paused the use of Kanye West’s music on our platform,” an official from Peloton communicated to the popular Peloton fan blog Pelobuddy. “This means our instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes and we are not suggesting any class that includes his music in our proactive recommendations to Members.”
“You should know this was a decision we made immediately following his remarks,” the official added.

Peloton was put in an awkward position to respond quickly after popular cycling instructor Alex Toussaint declared he would no longer play West’s music during his classes, putting all eyes on Peloton to see whether they would follow along.
Toussaint said after a workout, “Because I love everybody and want to make sure everybody feels safe in my environment, in my classes. I’m not even going to speak too much on it because you know I stand with you. You will not hear the artist in my class at all. I promise y’all. I do not support hate speech whatsoever, baby.”
Ironically, while a song uttering the n-word plays, Toussaint concluded, “I don’t tolerate that s**t at all, alright? You will not hear that artist in my class. I promise you.”
West’s recent controversy was sparked in early October, when he posted to Twitter that he would “go death con 3 on Jewish people.”
He also posted screenshots of a text message conversation between him and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing Combs of being controlled by Jews.
XXL Magazine tweeted a list yesterday showing the companies who have since split with West amidst the outcry.
The companies listed as of now include Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga, Vogue, JPMorgan Chase, and CAA. After being censored by Twitter and Instagram, West took a huge leap and purchased alternative social media platform Parler so he could continue to have an active voice online.
