Male swimmer Will “Lia” Thomas is in the headlines once again, this time for featuring a photo of him posted to his girlfriend’s Instagram account which was screenshot by reporter Andy Ngo, in which the “trans” swimmer wears proudly an “Antifa Super Soldier” shirt showing solidarity with the violent militant group Antifa.

“#Trans swimmer Lia Thomas, formerly William Thomas, has now embraced the #Trantifa branding in new photos posted on social media,” tweeted Ngo showing the screenshot from Thomas’ Instagram Story. “Trans violent militancy is the current focus of #Antifa. They believe that critics of trans ideology should be silenced, maimed or murdered.

“Some call for sexual violence against females in particular, as revenge.”

Thomas has been the center of many discussions in the world of sports since first competing in the women’s NCAA swimming championship. Since the championship where Thomas won first place, many of his actually-female teammates have come out stating that they were forced to accept not only Thomas’ place on the team, but also tolerate him using their shared locker space.

One of those former teammates is Paula Scanlan, who told The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh in an exclusive interview that when Thomas was put on the team, the University of Pennsylvania staff told the female swimmers that Thomas’ place on the team was “non-negotiable” and that adverse action would be taken against them should they protest the decision or speak with members of the media about their obvious concerns.

“After that meeting, they really scared us,” said Scanlan. “It was scary, and I was petrified. I went home that night and I called my brother and said, ‘Can I even talk about this with you? Is there something wrong with me for thinking this is wrong?”

She pointed out that the scare campaign worked for a while.

“It worked,” she continued. “The university wanted us to be quiet, and they did it in a very effective way. They continued to tell us that our opinions were wrong and that if we had an issue with it, we were the problem. And it’s frightening, and your future job is on the line. And after that point, no one would talk about it anymore. They effectively silenced us even within talking to each other.”

This behavior of threatening and coercing critics of the transgender ideology and radical progressive causes sadly isn’t anything new. Take Andy Ngo for example, who was violently stalked and attacked by members of the Antifa movement three years ago. Ngo is not only an Asian-American but also a gay man, someone you think the liberal media would defend, but instead mainstream outlets ignored his attack and have spent years either ignoring or downplaying Antifa violence and riots across America’s cities, which ironically didn’t die down until after the 2020 election, only to turn back up recently.

Take that part as you will. I simply find it ironic that they only come out in force during election years.

Women’s sports activist Riley Gaines, who was first to sound the alarm over Thomas and other men competing against women throughout different divisions, has also been the target of radical leftist attacks. Pro-trans groups appeared at her San Francisco State University speech and stormed the event, forcing police to hold her in a room until the agitators left, but not after they threatened to not only take her hostage but also demanded money from the university in order to leave Gaines alone.

“I give my speech and, of course, there’s many protesters in the room. But I welcome protesters. I welcome people with different perspectives,” Gaines told Outback’s Dan Dakich after the incident. “That’s why I choose to go somewhere like San Francisco. I know a lot of them won’t agree with me but that’s who I want to get in front of. That’s who I want to change their minds to see from my perspective. So there was lots of protesters and it was relatively civil. There was some heckling. But it was good.”

“After the event,” Gaines continued, “almost as soon as it finished, it was as if the floodgates opened and I was rushed. People from outside the classroom rushed in. They flickered the lights off. They stormed the podium and they were pushing and shoving and hitting.

“And I was supposed to meet with the head of campus police a half an hour before the event to discuss an exit strategy if this happened but the police never showed up to meet me. And so, I had no idea there was even police in the room. So at this moment I feared for my life.”

She further described the harrowing moment. “In these three hours, these protestors they sat outside, they banged on walls, they stomped on the floor, they screamed terrible, violent, awful things to both myself and the campus police who were there. I missed my flight home because I was stuck in this room. They were negotiating money with the dean of students if I wanted to make it home safely,” she said.

“They claimed if I got paid by the university to be there. It’s only fair that they get paid if I get to make it home safely, which first of all I didn’t get paid by the university to be there. That was a misconception. It just felt like the police weren’t doing their job adequately because they were terrified. They didn’t want to be accused of anything. They didn’t want to be assertive in any way that they could make it look like they were anything other than an ally to this community.”

If you think this is isolated, the list goes on. Retired MMA fighter, Fallon Fox (who is a man), has also openly discussed how he used to intentionally harm female opponents who he fought against in the cage specifically because of their opposition to male athletes competing against women.

Where is ESPN talking about Thomas’ radical politics? Where is the rest of the mainstream media exposing Thomas for backing a violent movement which almost exclusively targets female critics? Silence.
